Stefania Iemmi - photographer

Her artistic approach is based on two axes:
Fascinated by faces and daily human attitudes, she tries to capture the instant, to seize a look, an emotion.
She composes a travel book, a book in which the words become images and where live together at the same level the scenes captured from the ‘Street Photography’ and those of her daily life and of the people of her entourage.
She also tries to discover what is beyond the appearances, what concerns the inconscious, the ‘surrel’.
Based on her passion for the game and ‘mise en scene’ to realize through some style effects, an intimate and intimist creation, she tries, by means of the analysis of movement and of materials, to reveal the ‘Being’, to show his deformations, his mutations, to lay it bare.
An important part of this production is represented by a series of autoportraits.
She exhibits her photographies in Italy and in France, in particular in Paris, at the Transphotographyc Festival of Lille and at the International Meeting for Photography of Arles.
In 2005, she received the special mention for the series MY GRANDPARENTS, at the Kodack competition Assignment for Talent Portrait.
